Ruth Markwell is a textile artist based in Derbyshire, creating handcrafted keepsakes and mixed-media artwork using fabric, print and stitch. The unusual 3D textile artworks are softly padded and detailed with hand stitching.
She holds a degree in Art & Design and has enjoyed a varied creative career. Previous roles have included illustrating for BBC Children’s magazines and working as a graphic designer and textile artist for Nottingham Museums.
